A Star is Born

A bit slow at the beginning, but then continued to only get better and better. Yes, language was a little raw, but the performances highly outranked the awkwardness in every scene. Couldn't have cast better characters. Could have heard a pin drop in the theater nearing the end. I will look forward to seeing again in a few years. Hope it's up for awards!

Great movie!

We loved it. Masterful update of the oft told rise to fame tale. Lady Gaga is a great talent so its believable. Bradley Cooper is awesome. He never breaks character even though he is as far from it as you can get. Sam Elliott may get an academy award. All the minor characters are amusing. The music is awesome too. The theater seemed mesmerized by it.

You'll find all the turkey you need here and then some.

The weakest version of this time-worn story yet, with dull, unappealing leads and some of the worst songs ever.

this was a honest heart felt movie of love trust courage success and failure. this was a great movie to experience.

Great Movie! I thrown off by the profanity and drug use but the reality is that it seems to follow that profession. The music was great it held you in your seat.

Very good. Great acting by gaga and Bradley cooper. A real story of addiction - good for teens to see, for that aspect. Not a feel good movie. But definitely worth seeing

Fabulous...Lady GaGa can act and as we all know she can sing!!!! Bradley Cooper never dissappoints and his first film directing also impressive!!!

I’m not fan of drama and silly emotions. Can’t stand it on the screen or on tv. But this movie sold me on the trailer, and delivered even better on the screen.

Lady Gaga is incredible in this movie but for me seeing her with Bradley Cooper was just a little awkward for me. Loved the tunes and the story.

Big fan of the previous versions of this tale, but they had strong female leads. Agree with the rest who say Beyonce or Ariana Grande should have headlined this.

Everything except Lady Gaga singing. So overrated. Very disappointment. Acting was wooden, zero chemistry between Cooper/Gaga. Cooper slurring his words so much that I couldn't understand half of what he was saying and actually I didn't even care.

Bradley Cooper is the next Robet Redford: acting, directing, producing, and even cowriting the script. Well crafted, well acted, powerful music. Gaga and Cooper have great chemistry. Loved it!

Terrific movir, yes a bit of swearing, hey it's an adult movie, I am thinking the parents I saw bringing their kids could care less, same goes for the theater

This was a beautiful well acted movie! Bradley Cooper played his role magnificently and Lady Gaga was amazing portraying her role as a rising star. Who knew Bradley Cooper could sing as he really was a great singer. Definitely Oscar worthy!

Love this movie!!! Bradley and Gaga were fantastic. It was real. Music was great. AWESOME CAST. Special shout out to Sam Elliott, Dave Chappelle and Comedian Eddie Griffin. I definitely plan to see it again.

Fantastic film ! Cooper was awesome in this role and really brought out the pain of addiction and fleeting fame . Gaga did an outstanding job for a first time leading lady. I hope she continues in this field ,I believe she would be as successful as she is in music.

Awesome. This extremely well crafted and classic rise and fall tale is graced with award worthy acting by Sam Elliot and Brad Cooper. Gaga (Stephanie Germanotta) proves to be endearing and competent. When Ally finally lets loose onstage with Jackson there was not a dry eye in the theater, you could tell the audience was stunned by Gaga's amazing talent. I expect this to be the frontrunning award contender.

This is a remake of a remake, but the last one was a long time ago, and only the general story is the same. I LOVE Lady Gaga … LOVE!!, but this is Bradley Cooper's movie. Women in Whitby were rushing to the front of the theater and licking the screen. Presumably, they went home later and smacked their husbands in the head. We're used to the good looks, charisma, and alluring eyes, but some sort of technical genius was employed to make Cooper extremely believable as country-rock superstar, Jackson Maine. It sure LOOKS like he's doing guitar riffs like Jimi. Gaga kicks ass musically as the breakthrough artist. Ally, whose enormous talent is brought to the public by Cooper's character. Ally's meteoric rise is contrasted by Jackson's decline as his drunkenness and drug addiction stop being something he can get away with. The film is dramatic, emotional, and all too real. It's well done and well worth seeing, but I'd be less than honest if I wasn't a bit critical of Gaga's acting chops--she was awkward. There are some other minor problems, but this has MEGA-HIT written all over it...guru bob…………………...86/100
