Million Dollar Baby

We just saw Million Dollar Baby this afternoon and are still talking about it at 23h00. What a movie! What a cast! What a surprise! This movie will tear the heart out of your chest,pack it back in and tear it right back out again. It is so much more than a boxing movie. I hear Oscar calling Hillary Swank. Being surrounded by the likes of Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman must have been such a challenge for her. Please don`t let anybody compare this movie to the Balboa experience.The ending will leave you speechless.I`m so glad I let my wife talk me into seeing this gem. Thanks

Million Dollar Baby is both heart wrenching and heart warming. The transformation of character is the true draw, an excellent example of the power and strength of human love. All love is faliable, true love is unconditional and undying.

In Million Dollar Baby, Clint Eastwood has created another masterpiece (Mystic River). He has the ability to cut through to the heart of a story without frills or a single wasted film frame and extract the absolute best from the actors and film crew. Nice performances by Hilary Swank & Morgan Freeman, but not a lot to work with here in terms of a script. Poorly developed characters, terrible sound quality in the voice-over. At the end of the day, a shameless tearjerker.

Though it`s not without its flaws, this is a finely crafted story of love, hope & redemption. This is easily the best thing Clint Eastwood has ever done as a director. Morgan Freeman is one of the finest actors working today. He gives an exceptional performance. Hilary Swank is just phenomenal. This film is like beautiful poetry. It will haunt you for days.

I was blown away by that movie. It`s one of the very best I`ve ever seen. KJ - This movie is probably the greatest film that Eastwood has ever done. The price for the ticket could have been $50 and I would have still come out of it getting my moneys worth. So stop sitting in front of your computer reading this and GO SEE THIS FILM! Best movie of the year.

Great movie

I think MILLION DOLLAR BABY is one of the most gripping,thoughtful and well executed films I have ever seen. Clint Eastwood outdid his acting in this film. Besides being very engaging, it makes one think and analyze the message/meanings of various aspects the story makes. I am an actor that votes on the year end awards. I most certainly will vote for this as best picture. Not since DEAD MAN WALKING was I ever so moved by a film and its meanings after I left the theatre.
