Amazing. Ive always had a love and facination for sharks. It was heart wrenching to know that this goes on. Its truly barbaric, particularily the fishermen who cut off the fins and throw the shark back into the ocean after still alive. Disgusting.I will do whatever I can to stop this haneous activity from continuing. Thank you Rob for bringing this issue to mainstream media, I just hope that your work brings a positive change in time to save this awesome creature and ultimately humanity.
I just want to thank Rod Stewart for making this movie, and I hope that everybody will get a change to see it. It will change you as a person, just like it did with me. I truly hope that this movie incourrage more people to get involved in the fight against shark finning. And to all of the peolpe who already does, should have a reward for saving our planet.
I just watched this movie even though it was filmed in 2006. Sorry... Before watching this movie, I\ ve known that shark is really important to the ocean. But from this movie, I learned that every year, thousands of sharks were killed only for their fins. This is heartrending. I don\ t know how many people realised the killing, and if they know it is nonsensical to eat \"fish fin soup\". I don\ t know how I can do my effort to save sharks besides writing my feeling in my weblog and tell my friends and family about sharks and their fins. What else can I do? Tell me.
After seeing this movie, I can t help but cry for sharks. I have studied and loved sharks since as far back as I can remember. And now, after seeing what happens to sharks anually... after seeing sharks getting finned and hunted...I feel broken. We must save the sharks, they are such magnificent, ancient, and above all, sentient creatures. We NEED them. Rob Stewart, if you are reading this, your film definately deserves the Nobel Peace prize; it was simply an incredible movie. I am only a college student, but I will help save the sharks. Shark poaching is WRONG! And I will do whatever I can to stop such MADNESS! Let sharks live.
Youre doing a good job, dont give up. Please produce more of such shocking movies because with such productions it should be possible to blow away the stupidness of mankind.
i have seen the movie and it has made me relise of how sharks are friendly
this movie is one of the most amazing documentaries. this movie inspired me to do my ocean science project on the commercial shark fishery
this film has changed my whole look of sharks. I never knew that 100 million sharks were dying every year. i have told everyone i know to watch this film. it\ s so moving and helped me to make a difference, i encourage everyone to make a difference. it was simply brilliant and amazing
Hello! I´m Dani from Spain, I have seen your movie today, it\ s great! You made me cry! I\ m a scuba diver too, and I love animals and underwater life. It\ s great to have people like you on this planet. Thank you very much
This is a great film. This film has changed my life, before the film I had no idea this was even happening. It inspired me to do my year long world issues project on sharkfinning and I try to get people to be aware of this issue or watch this movie as much as possible.
It was a very moving documentary that portrayed sharks as a whole different animal
This is by far the best documentary iv e seen in my entire life!! I ve never been so touched by a film in a way that makes me want to help the world from so dangerous things as ourselves, as much as I have from this film. I have truly learnt a lot from this and I thank you a thousand times and more for showing us that this planet WILL go under if we let ourselves entirely rely on the worth of money!! It is true, we have started a third worldwar and the enemie is ourselves. If Al Gore can recieve Nobels peace prize, damn it, so can you!! Thank you for doing this!
I love this movie. The preview makes me cry each time. And that\ s just the preview!!! I wrote a speech for school about shark finning and this movie in gr. 4. My teacher gave me a standing ovation and i would have gotten an a+ if i hadn\ t turned it in late. My friends said they love it. I love this movie. It makes me cry.
I actually cryed the hole time during the movie T.T I love sharks and what some people do to them is so sad and scary. They don\ t deserve that.I swear I\ ll do anything I can for them when I get older.(I\ m 14).When u really think about it they kill 5 people in a year and they are not protected and tigers kill 100 people...IT\ S SO NOT FAIR!!!
Sharkwater, is my favourite movie. It expresses everything about sharks. It shows what most people never knew. I am totally against shark fin soup and doing many fishing. Money isn\ t everything. We are killing the planet and everything on it. I learned so much and now I follow everything about sharks and I do as much as I can to save the sharks. My dream is to continue the words of wisdom about Sharks and to maybe do a movie about this. In concluding, Thank You for making this movie; it shows everyone the true things happening in the world.
Thank you very much. I learnt a lot and will definitely continue to support your cause!
Thank you for making a video that shows why our sea animals are becoming extinct. It opened my eyes for sure. I used to be scared of sharks. This movie opened my eyes and showed me that humans are worse than sharks. I always thought they were very dangerous and scary. I relize that we are the ones that are killing more money. THanks again for making me wanna help save sharks
This was an amazing video! I have never seen something done so well. It was shocking and brutal what was done to those animals, and I was happy that it was All shown in the documentary. The public needs to see this movie and be aware of the harm thay are causing to everyone and everything! Again brilliant!
My science class and I watched this movie over a few days this week... Everyone in a class 30 people was transfixed by what was shown on screen! Everyone was moved in some way or another. I personally was amazed at the information you fit in without boring the audience. Great Work! :)
Thank you all for making this movie so people, including myself can see what is happening to our planet and sharks and take a stand once and for all and soon make a change before its too late.
My whole life I have been scared by sharks. This movie changed my view on what most would call man eating monsters. I now find them beautiful and majestic. I will never fear the ocean the same way I fear human nature. We kill because we can. We kill for profit. Whats more monsterous than that.
Sharkwater almost made me lose my breath. I had no idea that this horrible actions took place on the world oceans. I felt so powerless and angry, but your incredible work gave me hope. I realized that as long as people are willing to fight, there is hope! Thank you!
utterly compeling!
Words can not describe the emotions I felt when watching this movie. I\ ve loved sharks since before I could walk. I\ ve recently been reasearching shark cruelty. Your movie has inspired me to take a stand.
My son and I was watching your film a couple of days ago on Swedish television (in Finland). Great film! It makes me sad what people do. They had a discussion at my son´s school about sharks-the teacher telling how dangerous sharks are. Quess who told them about your film and gave new facts! Keep up the good work! Mom
Hi! Im 100% with you guys keep up the great work.I loved sharks since i was little when i watched sharkwater it made me mad -also cryed that people are that heartless .When i was growing up i stuck up for them.Friends of mine always said why do you like shark they kill people i told them no they dont i always said to people how would you like people going to your house all the time. The ocean is there home we are just visiters respect them DONT KILL THEM
I just took part of the movie on Swedish national television. It blew me away and raised my concern on highest level possible. I believe that we all need to contribute to save the sharks. You have done a great impact on my and my family’s awareness. We have joined the fight and I hope that the issue will get equal impact on government’s world wide.
Great film! I love it when people take action to try and change the world. As somebody said in the movie we are smart enough to predict the consequences of our actions. But we are not smart enough to stop ourselves from destroying the planet.
Ive always loved sharks, whales and all marine life and have done some conservation work already helping grey seals in Newquay, Cornwall in England. I have been so frustrated and disgusted with the finning, trawling and so called researching. This film has helped me improve my family and friends\ appreciation for our oceans and marine life and their views upon sharks have changed totally. Thank you for such a wonderfully made film, and I really inspire to become a role model like yourself.
