Amazingly touching. We are spreading it around the North Carolina coast!
Just an amazing movie. I could not believe how ignorant or how insensitive people can be. I hope this movie really does open people\ s eyes and we can do something it! Save the sharks!!
I have not been provoked more by a movie... ever. I took my diving certificate in the Philippines in 2007 and was lucky to dive with a Filipino tresher shark on one of my following adventure dives. The feeling I had at that moment is something I will never ever forget. Seeing this movie. That I\ ve never heard what we\ re doing to the sharks, and not knowing abour shark fin soup or shark finning. Even worse combined with economic cruelty - makes it likely to be very difficult to stop. Like I said - it\ s realy provoking. And sad.
Since i am a young child i love sharks. They are the most beautiful animals on this planet. The Movie is so awesome, i love it. I hope one time when i am fished with my studies i can help out to kick the shark finning mafia asses :-) Greetings from Germany
wow! i loved it! it wasvery inspiring and has pushed me to be a better person!
This movie is so amazing. I cried all the time. I will tried to held this cause in my contry.! Sorry for my english... it\ s not very good i know!
Last Spring, I vacationed in Costa Rica. Had I known about the tolerance of Shark finning in Costa Rica, I would NOT have gone! Thank you Rob for presenting these facts in a fashion that attracts the general public. Your energy is admirable. Love From Toronto, Canada
My Heart was crying when i see this Movie! Thank you all for your work! From Munich, Germany
this movie is so awesome
We are the worst disease that has hit this planet, ever. Let´s hope that we evolve fast enough to learn to live in coexistence. It seems we were given to much intelligence to stay in caves, but to little to understand what power we have and which responsibilities go with it.... This fantastic film is an eye opener, like there also should be for many other species as Tigers and so on. Let´s hope that it encourages enough people to make a difference and is not forgotten as \"another\" documentary. Don´t think about it....do it.
This outstanding film changed the way I view everything in the ocean. I suggest that you provide merchandise so that we can spread the word even faster.I would love to wear this message on my back so that when people walk past me they wonder why shave the sharks? resulting in people looking up the problems or asking me about my shirt and becoming involved. Anyone with emotions would become involved somehow to save these peaceful creatures. please, start an online shop for merchandise...any little thing is worth it
Four words: Stunning. Inspiring. Heart-breaking. Life-altering.

Definitely the best film ever! I love to watch to these amazing animals, and I think I also want to dive with them after my study. I\ m gonna buy the photobook and the film, and I hope I will support the sharkfoundations with this purchase. The sharks out there in the sea, needs us.. so be there for them! And if we don\ t give up, the sharks will stay here!
This movie changed my thoughts about sharks and i would love to do my part to help save the sharks. I am totaly against fining. I think to is a very cruel think to do.
Last week we had an incredible fundraising night showing \ Sharkwater\ to the general public at the University theatre in Hobart, Tasmania. Disney gave me permission and supplied me with the DVD to use for the evening. Paul Watson was our special guest speaker (who had just returned from Antarctica chasing Japanese whalers) along with Carlos Perez (Spanish translator)and local Great White enthusiast Chris Black. You could have heard a pin drop as nearly 200 people watched the horror and beauty of your outstanding film for the first time. We raised over A$2000 towards marine conservation in Tasmania. Thanks Rob Stewart for such a fine production, what is your next project?
The best film i\ ve ever seen! There SHOULD be more people like Rob.. Keep On!! And never give up!
i feel so sad when i watch it... we really need to save them n stop the killing. we need to realize that without them were going to be dead! when i saw the part in the movie where the kill the sharks for the fin it made me cry and when my family saw it. we decided to stop eating and even trying to order. we actually told the owner that they should stop selling shark fin soup and told them why and they said ok and it was a surprise. but it is really sad to knw we are losing one of the most important thing in our life. we NEED to SAVE them to SAVE us. we NEED to PROTECT them to PROTECT us. and WE NEED to SAVE the ECOSYSTEM!!! SAVE THE EARTH BY SAVING ITS LIFE!!!!
one of the most amazing documentary i ever seen. we need to stop the killing and save them... i need them to live. and the killing of the sharks in the movie made my cried and realize that shark is a very important thing in our life. save them to save us and protect them to protect us and save our ecosystem.
i have always been afraid of sharks, but after seeing this film i really opened my eyes about how sharks are misunderstood. it\ s such a sin for sharks, and we really need to educate everyone else on this topic and get more people involved.
Have always been fascinated by sharks. I too am sickened by the wholesale killing of these amazing creatures. This blatant waste must be stopped. The movie was brilliant and I have shared my thoughts with all my friends. One of my wish lists has always been to learn to dive and to be able to somehow experience a small part of our great ocean wildlife.
This is an important film. Very difficult to watch at times due to the devastation being caused by ignorant people. But I believe that the graphic content is perhaps what is needed to WAKE UP the planet. Thank you for making this film. I am a diver and I have been lucky enough to see many sharks face to fin. I will boycott Costca Rica and all other areas in the world which conduct line fishing. You should too.
After watching the documentary I was shocked at what I saw. For 30 years I have dined on shark fin soup not knowing the scale of damage that I was contributing to. I was under the impression that the whole shark was used and none to be left for waste, I was mistaken. I have had my eyes opened and will no longer contribute to the brutality and greed. I will be one less person dining on shark fin.
so sad
I just saw Sharkwater on HBO and I\ m so happy that this film was made. I have had a lifelong love and respect for sharks. I actually had a stand off with my parents when I was a child because I refused to eat shark fin soup. It was very validating to see my thoughts and feeling reflected in this movie. At the same time, it breaks my heart to see that sharks are being pushed to extinction. I can\ t even understand the cruelty and greed that keeps this industry going. Thanks to Rob Stewart and everyone involved in the film!
Fine little Save-the-Earth piece, despite Stewart\ s constant voguing for the camera. (Also, he ought to learn the difference between staph and necrotizing fasciitis.)
I loved it as I am a commercial diver and love sharks and think everyone should respect them! If i ever had the chance to do what this man did, I would in a heartbeat!
one of the best wildlife movies I\ ve every seen.... If you care about the enviroment this movie will upset you.... but you need to know this stuff..... watch it twice.... you will get more form it the second time.... cant wait for his next movie....
You Totally Changed My OutLook On Sharks
Picked up this DVD by accident on Blueray, and turned out to be the best movie I\ ve seen in a long time.I was amazed at the beauty of Sharks, the camera work is amazing .Sickened by the depth of cruelty humans are capable of for a quick buck.On the flip side it its quite heartening to see people like Rob Stewart, the Sea Shepard crew ,etc taken action.
good movie
AWESOME, we cant wait 2 c u on webcam!!
Such a great Movie. Very emotional. How can you not love Sharks and want to save them after this movie. It scares me to death knowing that once they are gone we are gone too. My sisters and I have always loved Sharks and now we love them even more. This Movie is great. Well done. Time man stopped being so greedy and think about this planet. And do more to preserve it for future generations to come.
I guess after the movie Jaws I wasn\ t too big on sharks but I was still very interested in them. Sharkwater is the best movie I\ ve ever seen and it really opened my eyes. I\ m trying to do as much as I can.
Thank you for this film... I\ ve never seen something like that... I have to admit that i cried when i saw that. You\ ve done a great job. You are heroes. I hope it\ s still not too late...
I Have Always Been Into Sharks And Other Marine Life. I Have Had Shark Experiences Of My Own, But Sharkwater Made Me realize How Much More I Want To Be A Marine Biologist, And Help Our Oceans. It Just Amazes Me How Ignorant People Can Be, And Not Realize How Much Harm They Are Doing To Our World!
Hi, I was always interested in sharks but at the same time a little nervous of them , I always wanted to be a marine biologist or anything to do with the underwater. I was in geography class when our teacher viewed your document. Over 90% of our class had no idea that such a horrible disaster was taking place. Many people don\ t understand the importance of the underwater. We need to HELP!
An amazing way to help kids to connect to nature. My grade 2\ s and 3\ s really got it! I will be developing a unit around it that integrates all subjects and is curriculum based!
