Sharkwater

How can anyone not be moved to do something to try and protect these majestic, beautiful and integral creatures. Where has \"our\" empathy, compassion and understanding of this beautiful planet, that we are privlidged to be a part off, gone to?

Very inspiring movie. It brought a new perspective of sharks, the ocean and even life to me. As film makers you should be very proud of your accomplishments not only in making a great movie but also making a movie that will inspire others to its cause!

This documentary is realistic in how it shows what is really happening out there, unlike other documentary\ s that show how sharks have evolved, and almost glamorises their lives, when really, their lives are the opposite, they are getting tortured, finned then thrown back in alive to have a slow death. Wow this movie really opened up my eyes on sharks and how they are tortured and killed everyday. They are innocent creatures and we are dependant on them for our own survival, they are wonderful animals and since this movie I have found sharks quite amazing

Loved this movie! Was a real eye opener, especially to someone who would not dare to even go snorkelling because I was terrified of sharks. This movie was inspiring, if you can turn a person who\ s afraid of sharks to a person who wants to help save the sharks and actually go out and scuba-dive to find out more about these creatures your work was more then accomplished. Keep up the good work and with all the support they are getting with this film, fin hunting should be banished and sharks should be prtoected!

This movie was absolutely fantastic and blew me away. It has become one of my favorite movies of all time. In the past couple of years, i have grown fascinated with sharks. To have a movie dispell so many myths is great. It will wake people up to realize we need to fight for these amazing animals. They save us everyday but helping us breathe, so it is time we saved them!!! Great job ROB!!!!

Such an eye opening expereince, this movie plainly tells the facts that saving sharks is about saving ourselves. Surely we as a speices must comprehend that to save ourselves we must first save the sharks.

I love sharks :] I\ m 15. I want to become a Marine Biologist, I\ ve always Loved the ocean and everything in it ever since I could remember. This movie made me cry, to see people hate sharks so much it sickens me. This is the movie I\ ve been waiting for so I could tell people, my friends and family so they can watch it and change their minds about sharks that their not evil. Peace out.

Great job, Rob! Since I\ m a young one I\ m fascinated by sharks though (or because) I have a deep fear (which came from watching Jaws at the age of 4). I am fourteen years old and i wish right now that i am able to join your crew.If there is one thing in thi world that i dont not understand is that if these people realize what there doing is wrong, why dont they have the knowledge to stop, how can they be so greedy by thinking of the money before an inicent creatures life. I think the international public should stand together to boycott goods being sold from countries who are eating shark fins. Theres nothing like not buying something imported \"Made in China\" to financially & economically devastate the economies supporting the purchase of fin industry. Without money they loose the market

wow ! as far as i remember i was always afraid of sharks. i hardly went into the ocean because i thought sharks would come and bite me. we watched sharkwater in school and i swear i almost cried. it was so touching. i think i have never seen a documentary like this one !!! thank u very much !!!

heartwrenching and eye opening, i truly learnt so much from watching his film, i never realised how much we depend on sharks to keep a healthy and balanced ecoysystem. As a student studying wildlife conservation and having just spent 3 weeks out in costa rica working with sea turtles, my heart and soul have been captured by this fil and i make it a mission of mine to do all i ca in saving marine life and encouraging others to watch this film and learn about and respect sharks and the ocean. Thank you for making such an inspiring film and good luckto you and everyone in saving sharks, i sincerely hope its achieved!

Truly worth the investment and risk, Sharkwater is a must-see-many-times for animal lovers...specifically for sea creature and shark lovers. The biggest point I took from it was that sharks as the top predator of the ocean keep a balance the ecosystem of the ocean and our earth needs to survive. So why would we continue to harm ourselves by harming them? The photography and cinematography is brilliant, and I was much informed by viewing the film.

Absolutely stunning and inspiring on so many different levels. I am a different man after watching this (5 times!). And I am on a mission to do my part. Thanks Rob! I\ ve always love sharks, when 4 year old girls favored kittens and puppies, my favorite was always the great white shark. I never knew about all the horible things that were happening to sharks everywhere. This movie opened my eyes, and I am now and forever deticated to making a difference. Thank You.

I have to say this is the greatest birthday present I have ever been given. What a powerful movie Rob has put together. I am an 8th grade science teacher in the gulf coast region of Texas and you better believe that my students will be watching this movie to help them see what is going on outside the bubble they live in. I consider Rob Stewart to be a hero, right up there with Nelson Mandela and others. His daring brave documentary has deeply moved me and others i know. Great movie. It should be mass shown in schools and universities around the world to show people the harm we are doing to these wonderful creatures. Ok maybe its a bit to grahical for schools, but i definatly think this film should be mass screened. Good work on the movie. Great music and imagery.

If people wouln\ t eat shark fins it wouldn¨t be a market for it...so how to work against the market is to get the knowledge out like this DVD do...so people get there eyes open to see that we need to protect the sharks for coming generations.

I just want to extend thanks to Rob for having the courage to tell this story. I have always had an intense fear of sharks (completely unfounded)and this movie opened my eyes to the plight of sharks and their role in our world. I was horrified and terribly saddened by the ruthless treatment and killing of these beautiful and elegant creatures. I felt ashamed to be associated with the human race, how can we be so destructive? I hope that this movie speaks to others and moves them as it has me....and that the world will come together to afford protection to these animals before it is too late. Way to go Rob, thank you!

Humans are looking for dinosaur fosil and killing sharks, thats messed up. Its sad to see these perfect creatures beeing slaughtered, without boats and equipment this would never be possible. Great job with the movie though, thumbs up for you guys.

What a truly awe inspiring movie. I was totally moved but angered at how man can do this to harmless creatures for a bowl of tasteless soup. The governments of the world should stand up to the slaughter and protect our last few remaining sharks out there. I would recommend that every human being possible watch this movie. I can\ t believe how money corrupts many people who don\ t give a second thought to the consequences. We Need To Do More To Stop The Extinction of One of The Oldest Surviving creatures of our Planet. Amazing film, I almost cried but I seldom cry so yeah, I also couldn\ t finish watching it because we had to go home, so I only watched half, btu I bet if I watched the whole thing, I would cry. I now officially hate sharks fin soup. Once again, amazing film.

fantastic move!!! it has left me feeling so sad and so so so mad!! I cannot believe that there are millions of sharks slaughtered just so some rich C*!T\ s can have some soup!! i only hope they dont know what they are causing, if they do know we should rip there arms and legg\ s off and through them in the ocean. i have dived with many sharks (in a tank :-)..) and i loved it, they are amazing animals and should be protected
