The Amazing Spider-Man

i read some of these reviews before watching the movie and was prepared for the worst. i was very pleasantly surprised. the acting was quite good and the movie itself was wonderful! some people are purists and hate remakes no matter what. this was a great installment into the spiderman franchise.

i found that the actors were nto as good as they were in the original series, especially the first spiderman movie. even though the movie was closer to the comics story line, the acting i found was not up to par.

bill murray is great!

to all who voted 1 star! did you see ghost rider 2 ? now that movie deserves a 1 star. yea some people really dont know how to rate properly. see it again and again and you will be like yea this is the best spiderman movie to date. p.s. this is how it should have been done the first time, cause in the comic books he does shoot the web from this gizmo gadget on his arm. now cant wait to see batman and superman and total recall and expendable 2 and bourne, too many :)

this is the best spider-man movie by far. the first 3, was great but a bit too long and really uncessary scene, like the guy can't walk, too geeky, this new movie much much better.

it was okay, but i personally thought the first spider man by sam rami was better.

i think that the spiderman movie was ok cause they change the actor to andrew grafield,the last spiderman actor was better then andrew.but overall the movie was great so i will give it four stars.

i took my 77 year old mother to this movie and when it was over she said "what a pile of rubbish". that pretty much sums it up.

this was a great movie. a terrific cast and a great storyline. it kept you riveted on the screen from the beginning to the end!

don't listen to the bonehead that rate this a one for somebody calling people blind or stupid should look in the mirror real hard, this was a good movie besides the giant lizard villain it was much better then the sam raimi spider man movies the only thing that had it going was the villains doc oct, green goblin,sandman etc this had more of a comic book feel rather it being cheesy and goofy like the original trilogy, so people that rate it a one don't quick your day job to become the next roger ebert

plays like a videogame -- perhaps that's what the kiddies want these days.

too many similarities between sam raimi films and this one. ie: highschool start, the getting into arguement with uncle ben then leaving, then a theft happens and peter doesn't stop the guy even though he could have. then the shooting of uncle ben and peter being first on the scene and feeling responsible, then the wrestling idea and not to mention the rescuing people from the bridge idea. the new uncle ben/aunt mae has great actors so that was good. the fighting was better, faster, more agile and unique web swinging views/angles i really enjoyed. but ultimately this did not need a re-boot but more of a new continuation with a new villan (this was best villan since dr. octopus) would have be

i really enjoy spiderman movie way better than first 3 old movies, however, the acting were awesome job while making movie. can't wait for spiderman 2in future.

i have been a spidey fan for a long time. the first three movies were terrible. i totally enjoyed this movie and my seven and eight year olds eyes were also glued to the screen. this is by far the best spidey to big screen movie yet. go watch it, you'll enjoy it.

i was skeptical at first, being a spiderman reboot and all. however, i was pleasantly surprised that this remake was actually better than the first. highly recommend spiderman reboot.

much better acting than the first spiderman and the story stayed a lot truer to the actual comic book series. i couldn't give it 5 stars because there were a few things that could have been done better, but overall a pretty good movie.

i love it!!! i know it's didn't look good but it's only beginning and i'm sure next one would be better.. cuz keep in mind in this movie peter has no clue how to use his power or do thing right to save peoples. i watch alot of spiderman cartoon when i was very young and it's almost same to this movie. i think the director was going by step by step in deep of the story. they did right, in the cartoon peter didn't meet mary jane ontill later on but did met gwen stacy. but i'm sure there will be another movie if the office box hit over their est budge film.

it was entertaining but very slow and the humour was shotty at best. who ever said bill murray was in this needs to have their hear examined. i found the effects good but weak story and reveals he identity more than he anything why bother wearing a mask..lol

aside from the special effect, nothing new. story was very confusing and peter didn't live up to tobey performance, but loved emma stone was cute. would still prefer the old trilgoy to this new one.

how many times are you going to reboot this series. stop it! go see the batman film instead, don't waste your money. i kept on wishing for a fast forward button.
