witty, funny, suspenseful... i loved every minute of it. especially the whole minute where i was roaring with laughter because of something the hulk said! joss whedon is a genius!

the summer blockbuster of the century! so many stars, so much action, so much entertainment!

although i really like comic book based movies i found this one to be really slow in getting started. i appreciate that some history and set-up is needed for the big battle scene but i found it neither addressed the background my husband who doesn't watch these movies needed, or something interesting to keep me engaged. it kind of felt like a cattle roundup and fell flat for me in the beginning. i appreciate one needs to suspend their belief just to watch this genre, but the onlythihng that stood out for my son( who recites movies verbatim) was loki and "hulk smash" perhaps the next one will be better... an actual story perhaps.

action packed

as someone who has never been hugely into superheroes or comic books, i thought this movie was awesome! i really enjoyed the story and the action sequences. robert downey jr. was a true highlight of the movie but all of them were fantastic. the only things i would say to improve are the length (it was slightly longer than i'd like) and i wish that i could have known more about the heroes' backgrounds and stories. otherwise, a truly great movie that i'd recommend to all my friends!

growing up watching superhero cartoons and movies, this was the greatest superhero movie i've seen, even better than the dark knight!

i'm a huge fan of marvel movies and this one was beyond anything i expected. not to mention i never thought i'd laugh so hard at a superhero movie.

secound part to the review.....as where a lot so of super hero movies have fail so miserably like superman returns,spiderman films,original bat man flicks and many other as well, don't let my review scare you go see it and come up with your own opinion, i did enjoy the avengers quite well it was a good movie worth while to see specially if like seeing movies on the big screen
