Waste of time...not worth renting

Roland Emmerich has a talent for making fun popcorn movies with lots of special effects and action but has no intrest in keeping any of the science real, instead we get a timelapse orgy of photography of a second ice age which would take decades in less than an hour, but hey, like I said, if you like popcorn movies and dont want to think at all then you`ll love this one, all though nothing gets blown up every 10 mins. have any of you seen the movie "The Core"? it seems Roland has. Check it out, if you have two tv`s and dvd players you might want to play a game with your friends called "I can see the same thing over here".

The script to this movie was very well written. It makes you wonder about how it COULD happen to us, pretty scary. To the people who didn`t like this movie, and thought it was boring, I think you just didn`t understand the storyline. Maybe it was too deep for you.

this movie was the best movie i`ve seen!!!!!!i give it 5 stars! and 4 all u who say that it wasnt the best, well u just dont know a great movie when u see one. this movie rocked!!!!!!!

My son and I loved this movie! It had great effects and it made us think of the real possibility of this happening. A good movie for young minds,makes them think about caring for our planet and not to take it for granted.

I wish I wrote a novel as good as this, imagine our world in chaos. It brings to mind the advantage this would have on a billion served. Its still a possibility it could happen. I can hardly wait till it comes out on DVD tho, but not in real life I`m not willing to find out, I hope and pray this doesnt happen in my lifetime or anybodies lifetime for that matter.

Very scary movie if you can get past the sappy storyline.

I`d give it three stars...and it has nothing to do with how HOT Jake Gyllenhaal is. LOL For a disaster movie it was entertaining...even if it wasn`t THAT realistic...but its for entertainment right? It had me on the edge of my seat. The only thing that I thought was very "highly unlikely" was the fact that Dennis Quaid...walked all that way in that "disaster" ...they should have changed that. Unless his name was SUPERMAN.

Excellent. People should really start to pay attention to what may happen even if it`s not as dramatic as the movie.

I think that was an awesome movie! with all the tornadoes, snowstorms, and floods were well done on com. it was as good as Godzilla !998 and Independence Day.

As disaster movies go, this one was pretty entertaining & the effects were well done, I enjoyed it.

beyond lame

It definitely was my favorite disaster movie of all time. Even though it wasnt really realistic, it was great entertaining and I couldnt let tension go for whole 2 hours.

I found this movie very good for the first 30 minutes but after that it really went down hill because it was too lovey dovey and the ending was pathetic b/c there is no way all the people would be happy at the end. i give this movie 2 stars!!

Hmmm...I never knew that humans could out run freezing cold! How amazing! It was also so realistic the way the wolves run down people...once again just amazing! The actors did a good job, however if a director and screen writer know nothing about a topic...why don`t you write or direct something you do know about???...ahhhh

It was a disaster movie in the grand scale...just like they all are. Typical love angst for Hollywood...but overall I really enjoyed the ride. And, the scientist`s who complained about this movie need to get out of the lab more often!

it was disgustingly awful...a total bore..i went with a couple of friends and it was so bad we had to go back to the front desk and ask for our money back..they ended up giving us tickets to the movie dodgeball instead..and might i add it was great. screw "the day after tomorrow" everyone needs to go see dodgeball!!!!!!!

My eyes were glued to the screen throughout the movie. The special effects were great. As I held my husband`s hand, I thought to myself how short life really is and that anything is possible ending it all so quickly. It sure makes a person think.

Good solid entertainment. Remember why we go to movies?, to be entertained. Good flick.

Simply an amazing movie, breath taking away. The acting, the story, and the special effects were spontanious! I loved it and would like to see it over and over again. It`s a great movie that makes you think about our future. Absolutely wonderful!
