Great Special computer effect, very very poor acting, every one looks so casual in the set.

i loves it! there was so much action. i was so glad to see Jake G. in this movie cause not only is he great looking but he is a great actor. And Denis Quaid made the movie even better! everyone who is anyone must go see it ...i give it 5 stars!!!

I`m sorry, but this movie is NOT worth the time and money. Some pretty decent scenes; but conversely, TERRIBLE acting TERRIBLE screenplay TERRIBLE story line and TERRIBLE ending. This a prime example of how advertisements can turn a perfectly promissing and surreal "dream movie" into total and absolute crap.

i thought the movie was pretty lame. why would they make another movie like independance day just blows my mind.

It was a good movie with amazing special effects, and I liked the characters. Those that try to apply modern day science to movie science will complain, but folks it`s a movie! I didn`t think the special effects went overboard, but fit the storyline. It was worth going to the theatre to watch.

Very extravagant subject but realistic at the same time, the special effects are excellent and the landscapes also. In short, very good film and I hope that it will lead the United States to accept the agreement of Kyoto!

tooo hollywood....the idea was there for earth`s natural disaster.......special effects were good...but that was it..should have focussed on more disasters

*WARNING: SPOILERS HEREIN* Great effects and the premise was cool, yet scientifically impossible. Main drawback for me was the meteorological inaccuracies. And there were many!!!!I took meteorology as a science credit in college. No way could tornandoes of that magnitude form anywhere in the World. And in LA? No way Jose. And instant freezing in a Low Pressure centre (eye). Yeah Right!!! Also 3 massive storms forming side by side is impossible since the spinning of a single low pressure system actually deflects other storms away. Big storms always spin away from each other. I hav`nt seen a movie this well done since twister, the weather graphics where much more likley, the cold weather effects were defently cool. Overall the movie was down to earth eye opener.

I thought it was GREAT, when you see a clip for movies like this you sometimes get the idea it`s going to be aweful and cheesey but I loved this movie and Id even like to see it again because the subject of the movie is very real in the world today and if we don`t prevent global warming something like that could very well happen EVENTUALLY. Other then that the Digital Effects etc were amazing. for instance theres a scene where the tidal wave is headed for newyork,when you see it in the theater it looks unbelievabley real. Just a well done movie!

It`s an Oscar winner for sure. The images are so riveting and you`ll definately feel differently towards the environment. Bravo, well done, it was great!

This movie was excellent. This comment is for the guy who complained about the people`s review. Yes he is correct about how most people don`t make any sense, but if your going to be a critque then you should practise what you preach. Usually at the begining of a sentence you would use a capital letter.

Hollywood at the end but spend 8 bucks and see it on the big screen or the effects won`t be as impressive.

awesomely made film, with astounding special effects. on reflecting on the real meaning of the film later, the huge message that it sends across scared the hell outta me. this is going to happen, kids.
