this movie was great. it had action and a love story as well as drama all rolled into one.

i didn't read the books, reviews, or synopsis of the film. i planned on walking into the theater completely blind from knowing what "the hunger games" was about because i didn't want to get caught up in the craze, thinking it was receiving more hype than was deserved. i was blown away by this film. it was fantastic, intricate, and astounding. i loved it so much i even went out and bought the soundtrack. five stars well deserved.

haven't read the book, so probably enjoyed it more than those that did...

not really up to all the media hype surrounding this flick. i really enjoyed it but the friends that i went with didn't.

got dragged to this movie by my girlfriend. not having read the book i didn't have any expectations, but this movie did not entertain me in any way. found it very dry and boring. if you haven't read the book and haven't been drawn in by the hype then don't bother with this one...

this movie was pretty faithful to the books but anyone who has read the books will be disappointed at what was left out. a lot of nuance which would have enriched the movie and made more sense was excluded.

a high action, high stakes teen movie-turned-film that will appeal to audiences of all ages. the film beautifully recreates the dystopic future and creates emotional tension. also, it's pure edge of your seat fun!

great story and very exciting

i loved this movie. i had no idea what to expect before seeing it, as i am usually not a fan of movies like this one. i was totally shocked, as i absolutely loved it. the cinematography was amazing, and it is definitely a movie to see in theatres. it is a must see!

wasn't really a fan of the movie. horrible camerawork and aside from the actual hunger games component which comprised of about a quarter of the film, it left me cold. i think it was a disservice to the movie adding the romance that ultimately took the wheels going into the last half, both unnecessary to her character and uninvolving. if it's a mash of two things it'd be battle royale and 1984.
