The Hunger Games

great if you've read the book. if you haven't, you are missing out on a lot of details.

the visuals were good, good story too! haven't read the books so i can't be disappointed!

i was pleasantly surprized. it held my attention and would recommend it to others.

i was quite disappointed with this movie. although the directing/producing was good, relationships were very underdeveloped.

i haven't read any of the books, and found the movie very long and at points a bit slow. for all the hype around the movie, i thought it was good, but not excellent. i believe this is a case of having a mega advertising budget to get people out to see it.

amazing movie, definitely lived up to the books! the violence and gore was toned down for the on-screen adaption, but i didn't mind at all. great acting, didn't over-do it. overall an amazing theatrical experience.

i loved how everything was basically the same as in the movie. i loved the costume design for the capitol citizens. totally brought what was detailed in the book to life for me.

the casting director did an amazing job casting jennifer lawrence. couldn't have had a better "katniss!" i was a bit disappointed though that the movie didn't follow the book a bit more such as when was actually madge, the mayor's daughter, who gave katniss the mockingjay pin,....this leads to more story throughout the series. i think the book was brilliant! the movie was a bit less so but still very entertaining. looking forward to the next one!
