Typical heist movie, nothing special. Blake Lively was excellent and probably did the best acting in the entire movie. The plot was boring and nothing new, and the characters lacked depth. It seemed like they set up so many different ideas and then didnt follow through with any of them.

its good...i found it overrated though...everyone is talking about this movie, but we've seen similar ones previously. still, good job by director and cast! :)

I thought that the movie could have been a lot better than it was. It was nice to see Ben directing and in a movie again, but I think that it could have been better.

The movie wasn't as good as it could have been. It was just an ordinary bank robbery movie. It was not as good a movie as it was prosposed to us.

This movie was pretty good even though I have seen a few like it before. The performances were great. I even liked Blake Lively though with her mush mouth accent I couldn't understand half of what she said.

Really good movie.

Some reviewers just have "zero idea" period. This is a very good movie about blue collar criminals in Boston, boasting great performances from everyone involved. If this doesn't sound like your thing, see Res Evil 3D...it's got monsters an' thingys popin' out at yah!

2.5 stars would be a fair score for this movie. It was somewhat entertaining but unrealisticly portrayed in terms of the actual heists. I would probably wait for the dvd if I were you............signed GWH

Fantastic

Uhh i have zero idea why this movie has this high of a rating... "Keeps you on the dge of yuor seat"? 80% of the movie is drawn out talking scenes! A random storytelling of his dead mom that had NOTHING to do with the plot. Just long and NON-exciting. Although Blake Lively had a stand out performance. She's one to look out for.

Ben is excellent. Great story line; very suspenseful. Very well done.

Very well done. Alot of people are complaining to me about the lack of excitement throughout the middle of the film but these moments of dialogue are just perfect plot builders and character developments - things that most people don't look for in a movie. Ben Affleck has truly redeemed himself with this one. It shows Boston as I knew it when I lived there, and the story and script were right on! Action, suspense and wild humour -- what more could anyone ask for. See it!!

Best movie I've seen this year, and I've seen all the major releases, and many of the arthouse movies too (big movie lover). Affleck , after losing his stock as a movie star, and turning into an object of ridicule, has returned to his oscar winning roots. A Boston boy telling a real story about his town. If it wasn't such an awesome timed, and produced action packed thriller with big names, this movie would be the darling of the arthouse. I hope this movie receives the nominations it deserves at award season.
