Good movie, but not one of Martin's best. Leo gives a strong performance, but the movie is okay.

Very disappointing movie to say the least. I always rate a movie by the fact that I would or would not want to see it a second time. I would not want to see this show ever again. It seemed very degrading to women, and so much swearing and all the obscene scenes got very disturbing. A total waste of money but the popcorn was good. The only positive I can see is that it shows people what not to do with their lives eg, engaging in extramarital afairs, drugs, alcohol, violence, and swearing.

Wolf for sure! Despicable show! I usually like Dicaprio..... I kept wishing it would end.... but it didn't.... It kept going on and on. Taking creative license to glamorize criminals.... and how about the rating.... perhaps this movie should create a new category.... Double XX. Chose another movie, your wife with thank you for doing so!

I have never taken the time to write a review on any film until now. My husband and I were given movie tickets for Christmas and chose this film which featured one of our favorite actors Leonardo Di Caprioun; we were unaware of Jordon Belfort's life; the movie trailer did not prepare us for the pornographic content of this film; this 3 hour film seemed to cram in as much crass content as possible ... even if these details of Jordan's life/memoirs were this graphic this movie seemed to relish in the whole degradation of it's characters. There was no redemptive value to his life in the movie nor apparently in real life. We are both very disappointed and quite frankly shocked with the movie's

This could be one of the most controversial films that has hit theatres in a while. There were a few genuine funny parts but this movie gives me no joy for the same reason that I rate it 4-stars; it does not try to hide anything about Jordan Belfort's story. This movie makes a very important point which can be summed up as follows: "But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." - 1 Timothy 6:9-10 NASB

One of the best! Why? Because shows the reality that's going on.

They didn't have a negative rating or that is what I would have given this one (minus 10 out of 10). If you want to be bored for 3 hours by porn and vulgarity, this movie is for you. The only reason I stayed was because I kept thinking it would get better.

This was one of the worst movies I have seen. I do not know why I stayed maybe because I thought it would get better. I expected with Leonardo the movie would be worthy of watching. do not waste your money .Pure waste of time and out tickets were free.

Terrible acting! If he wasn't screwing people for money, he was screwing people - literally! Can't believe he is up for an Oscar for this movie - no comparison to some of his other films. Terrible story!

It was a great movie! Yes a lot of drugs and sex but it was great! Don't listen to the prudes that say its terrible. I went to see it with my sister and we both loved it! Great acting!

I wish more thought would go into the dialogue and story, than just a constant focus on the women. As a young woman I am so tired of going to movies and feeling uncomfortable. Nudity is fine, I enjoy it when it's tasteful and adds to the plot, but just why does it have to be so overwhelming, and seems to be the only allure to movies these days. My girlfriends and I walked out.

one of the most pathetic movies made. Save your money and the huge total of 3 long, gruelling hours of your life that you can never get back. If that is all Hollywood offers we are in serious trouble. Yes, it might be about a "real" person, seriously, someone should have put him out of his misery

Not worth your money. The story could of been told not so explicitly.

Strongly suggest you avoid this movie. Every other word is an F shot or worse. If the actors are not snorting cocaine or involved in obscene acts of sex, they are drunk and popping pills. Why not act? why show such depravity except for shock. Please find another movie where you leave feeling the world is a good place.

this movie was entertaining for the first 20-30 mins... then I couldn't wait for it to end... was like watching the same commercial over and over again!!!!!! AWEFUL

Well I was waiting for this movie to come along so I could enjoy it but I can honestly say it was nothing but trash. It is poor acting, terrible language non stop throughout the movie and lots of pornography. What a total waste of time. Two people left before I did and then two people walked out when I did...I lasted maybe 40 minutes. A stupid story line. Surely the stockbrokers of New York do not really live like this. I know they are no doubt high rollers but this was far beyond. What a waste of an afternoon....Save your money and your time. I asked for my money back and the manager did accommodate me - all was not lost.

There just isn't enough naked ladies in movies. Why is it ok to see shows about murder and violence but sex is frowned on. I think bumping uglies is better than decapitation or stabbing zombies in the brain although that's fun too.

I laughed my head off. You're adults right. Then you shouldn't be offended by the sex and drugs. I've seen much worse on TV. Leonardo doesn't disappoint. I also watched American Hustle and Out Of The Furnace and they are not even close to the entertainment of The Wolf Of Wall Street. Go see the movie. You won't be sorry.

There should be a ZERO stars rating for junk movies like this one. Some people say it's funny? There was nothing funny about it. I wish I had walked out.

That's entertainment! Actually know people that live the overindulgent life . Some are complaining of the abundant sex scenes and drugs. Yet they turn on their television sets and watch endless murders, rapes and all forms of violence. Scrocese, Dicaprio a 5 star rating .

Wildly entertaining, worth the time and money, don't bring any one under the age of 18.

Leonardo was fantastic as always! It didn't seem long, kept my interest all the way through. It always amazes me how horrible human beings can really be! It opened my eyes to an addicts life.

Excellent acting by Leonardo DiCaprio. Film is based on the memoirs of Jordan Belfort. Fi,m is graphic and not for everyone but it had to be to accurately portray Belfort's various addictions. There are some people like him in the real world. Scorcesse did a fine job in this bio, even though some aspects for me a little over emphasized in film which why I can'y give film 5 stars and only 4. Rob Reiner played an excellent supporting role in film. I give this film an "R" rating.

I saw it yesterday and loved it. At first I was apprehensive because of the low ratings but I'm so glad I went. Dicaprio was amazing in this and so funny. We totally enjoyed the movie.

Unbelievable how some idiots who take offence to sex and drugs would not care to read a review and still have the gull to see a x rated movie. Shame on you. Grow a pair, step out of your miserable lives and see that not everyone follows the path of your boring pathetic selves. Acting was incredible, dialogue was hilarious and the storyline had everything from romance to action. Get a grip people.

Great acting thought Rob Reiner was a great supporting actor in film. A lot of naughty stuff and language issues in film; Hard to believe this person actually existed in real life.

Jordan Belfort, failed meat packer, was briefly on Wall Street. I'll bet he's hugely entertained at this fantasy, supposedly true pornographic nonsense. I despise this movie. Long, boring, repetitive pap. No stars.

I loved the movie, yes it has sex and some words not suitable for children but this is an adult movie!!! I found it funny and got a kick out of it. Stop being so serious!! It's just fun.

The Boiler Room with no gravitas. Dialog that had me constantly rolling my eyes and moaning. What a sad joke that Scorsese's name is on this abortion.

This was the extreme version of 'BLOW' and 'The Boiler Room' wrapped into one. Wow. Yes, lots of nudity, and a lot of drugs and I was starting to think the characters were going to get away with it as it took too long to start showing consequences (btw DiCaprio voiceover warns you of all that at the beginning so if you stuck around for the 3hrs it's cause the movie was worth watching), but wow..great dialogue and if that's actually based on true events, it blew my mind.

Wow. Based on actual events! I was impressed with everyones 80's / early 90's greed. I started wanting to see the downfall quickly though. It was starting to be just too much fantasy lavish lifestyle to not have consequences happen faster.
